Answering Your Questions

Find answers to the most common queries about the application, composition, and effectiveness of GERMANIUM formulas.

About the Treatment

Do GERMANIUM products contain steroids?
No. Its formulation is based strictly on plant active substances. Corticoids are synthetic chemical prescription drugs. GERMANIUM products are safe over-the-counter coadjutant cosmetics.
What is the effectiveness of GERMANIUM products?
They are effective in more than 80% of treated cases according to our clinical and dermatological trials. Visible remission of symptoms (scaling, roughness, and redness) occurs progressively over a period of approximately 30 to 45 days.
Is GERMANIUM effective for all types of psoriasis?
It is highly effective in plaque, guttata (drop-like), and inverse (fold) psoriasis. In cases of inverse psoriasis, applying Germanium Cream is advised and treatment usually requires longer consistency than other body locations.
When my psoriasis disappears, should I stop using GERMANIUM?
Psoriasis is a chronic condition that currently has no permanent cure. Once symptoms disappear (redness and scales), you can space out applications (for example, reducing to once a day or alternating days) to maintain remission and prevent future flare-ups.

Use & Application

When should I use GERMANIUM GEL?
It is advised to use Germanium Gel when psoriasis does not cause intense itching or is not pruriginous. It is also the preferred texture for people who like cosmetics with a light, non-greasy feel, or in application areas with hair (legs, chest) and bordering the scalp. *Note: In some cases, its application may cause a slight itching sensation during the first 2 or 3 days of use, which subsides quickly.*
When should I use GERMANIUM CREAM?
Germanium Cream is recommended in cases where psoriasis presents with itching, pruritus, or irritating discomfort, as it hydrates very deeply. It is also used in areas with a high accumulation of scales (after exfoliation with the Peeling) and in sensitive areas near the eyes.
When should I use GERMANIUM PEELING?
Germanium Peeling is used in localized areas with scaling and very thick skin (especially on elbows and knees). In these areas, the accumulation of keratinized dead cells forms an impenetrable plug; the Peeling removes them safely so that the Gel or Cream can come into contact with the vital cells of the skin.
How many times should I apply GERMANIUM products?
Germanium Gel and Germanium Cream should be applied twice a day (morning and night, rubbing gently until absorbed). Germanium Peeling is applied 2 to 3 times a week on areas with thick scaling prior to the application of gel or cream.
Can it be used in areas near the eyes?
Yes. It is safe to apply near the eye socket, always taking extreme precaution so that it does not enter the eye. In these sensitive areas, it is preferable to use Germanium Cream due to its richer and more controllable texture that does not run.

Safety & Composition

What is the maximum time I can use them?
There is no time limit. Germanium is a range formulated under strict European cosmetics regulations. Lacking corticoids, it does not cause skin atrophy or dependence, allowing continued use for as long as necessary.
Can I use it on large areas of the skin?
Yes. The botanical active ingredients they contain are respectful of the body and do not pose systemic health risks. It is suitable for both small, highly localized plaques and large body areas (back, thighs, chest).
Is psoriasis contagious?
No. It is essential to clarify that psoriasis is an inflammatory condition of immunological and genetic origin. It is not caused by infectious agents (viruses, bacteria, or fungi) and under no circumstances is it contagious.
